Hi I’m Lynne and I support HCYC members to do their jobs. I work for Hampshire County Council as a Participation Officer so support, advise and develop youth democracy in Hampshire.

Being involved with HCYC or any of the local forums in Hampshire is really worthwhile, not just because you can get your voice heard to those who make decisions but because you can take part in so many fantastic opportunities and make lots of new friends.

However if that’s not your thing but you’d still like your voice to be heard, then contact your representative and we will make sure your views are put forward. Hi Im Jill Taylor, I work for Hampshire County Council as a Senior Admin Officer and help Lynne support HCYC.  I first met some of the members a couple of years ago when they were JAR Young Inspectors and since then I have had the opportunity to find out more about the aims of HCYC and other Youth Forums in Hampshire.

Youth Democracy and the participation of young people in decision making is important and as well as being hard work at times, it is also very interesting and a great deal of fun.  I am looking forward to working with the Participation Team and HCYC to get the opinions of more young people heard on a range of subjects.
